Jen received her master’s degree in Literacy Education in 2003 and since then has worked on helping to grow awareness about children’s literacy and writing.

Jen has vast educational experience, including an editing internship during her literacy masters program, running her own daycare for several years, and advocating for children’s literacy at every opportunity.

Jen believes strongly that good writing skills begin the moment a baby is born, and that reading to a child lies at the heart of their learning skills and comprehension later in life. She believes that every child in the world should be read to every day, in order to foster the developmental skills and aptitude that leads to a more intelligent and creative young child.
